Cass resents John for dropping Gregory off when Frankie was all dressed up to go somewhere and had someone to go with. Frankie says that John was desperate because his mother is out of town and the other baby-sitter fell through, and Frankie wouldn't have felt right about not knowing who was with Gregory all night. Cass tries calling Sarah O'Connor, an ex-nun he did some pro bono work for who runs a day care center and left the convent to take care of her sister's three orphaned children, but Frankie can't go through with leaving Gregory with a stranger, because Gregory doesn't do well with strangers since Sharlene died. Cass wants to stay with Frankie and Gregory instead of going to the ball with Dana or anyone else, and says they'll stay in and order a pizza; it'll taste better than the rubber chicken at the ball anyway. When trying to get Gregory to sleep, Cass puts on some soft music, and he and Frankie dance, touching foreheads. When the song abruptly changes to a rock-n-roll number, Cass dashes to the stereo to turn it off. Frankie checks on Gregory, who's fine but still wide awake. Cass and Frankie are about to kiss, but Cass stops himself and says he'll go and call for the pizza while Frankie gets the herbal shakes, and that's what he does. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
